The Alfalfa Store was originally built in the 1950s. In 1987 Glenn and Claudia Green purchased the store and moved to Alfalfa from Molalla, Oregon. After Glenn’s passing in 2010, Justin came on to help Claudia run the business. In 2016, Justin and Loraine officially took ownership. As of this year, 2026, the Green family has owned and operated the store for 39 years.

Our community is at the heart of what we do. This store is more than just a business to us. When you’re here, you’re family. Our youngest 2 children, Brayden and Teagan, are now teenagers and are learning the day to day operations. You will see them working shifts every week. We are so proud to continue on the family legacy and one day pass it to our children.
